Sandals in the Snow

Today the temperatures were unbelievable! I can't remember ever experiencing a spring day like this one. The car thermometer was pushing 70 degrees! We spent the whole day biking out in Brimley. It was so strange, because I am usually the "cold" one in the family, and I stripped all the way down to a tank top and felt comfortable. Usually we would still be wearing gloves and hats at this time of year.We biked to Big Pines beach where we were surprised to see amazing snow formations along the water, and the beach's form completely reshaped by the ice that pushed up rocks and formed rivers. It was really pretty, but we didn't have our camera with us to capture what we saw. So, when we got back home the girls and I walked down to Lake Superior and took some pictures of our beach. The beach wasn't shifted around nearly as much as at Big Pines, but it was still a lot of fun exploring the little nooks and crannies left by the melting ice. And, to do it in t-shirts and tank tops?...UNBELIEVABLE!!!! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day, and I am just so glad we got to share it together as a family.

What? Tank top?
