St. Patrick's Day Books

We have started this new thing at our house, where we try to read all of the holiday books available at our library before the holiday arrives. Not only does it put us in the mood, and gives us great background knowledge and craft ideas etc. But, it also saves me from reading Christmas books in July.

So, here are a few of the St. Patty's Day books that we have read and recommend from our library:

"The St. Patrick's Day Shillelagh" by Janet Nolan
This book is a wonderful read. It's message is really about the importance of passing down family stories from generation to generation.

"Mary McLean and the St. Patrick's Day Parade" by Steven Kroll
This book combines a taste of history with a bit of fairy tale and a happy ending for a great read.
